Hi: Grasping at straws. Are you the owner of A & N Marine? If so, I am looking for a tilt mechanism for my Volvo AQ 270 vintage outdrive. If not, sorry for your trouble.

Merry Christmas Alex & Erika, glad to hear you have some interest in making a Havasu trip. Our thought was to go during the week of February 12th or possibly 20th. 14 is Valentines day, 20th is Presidents day creating a 3 day weekend and my fear is accommodation's will be difficult. Since the drive is about 8hrs with the trailer we were planning on driving one day each way and having 2 days at the lake. Possibly doing
12th - 15th or 21st - 24th really kind of depends on what's available. Let us know your thoughts.

Thanks Bruce! I knew they were crazy about the saltwater!

Do you mind sending me your phone number, so I can call and have a contact person if I come up for the Shasta gathering.

    Hey Alex,

Just between the two of us, don't listen to those guys that say Saltwater won't hurt. They are out of their minds. Early merc engines get destroyed by salt water. The driveshaft is not stainless steel like the OMC engines were. The water passages in the jacketing of the engine are very narrow, and there are areas that tend to trap sand-laden water. Salt coated sand, trapped in your engine will block will surely eat holes in the exhaust housing, and rust the bolts all over the motor. Don't put that beautiful boat in the Bay!
