Default Big day for David...

...being the first time out with his brand new motor. So I offered to be a buddy boat. We hope all will go well on this day. Other than possible fog in the morning, the day looks good with partly cloudy and 3 mph wind. This makes for a smooth and calm water conditions. Should be fun. Departure between 10 to 11 am depending on morning fog.

Default T&B here you go

I have been trying to post since Monday.

Anyway here is a link to my video of David's Day. Also a pic of our lunch at the Pizza Factory in Walnut Grove. Those attending: Left to right: Eduardo and Mercedes, David's friend John, David, Justin and Emily, Lucia. Kent had engine issues and had to return early.

I'm sure the others will have more photo/video to share, but I'll do a quick recap. We left at around 10:30 from Discovery Park. It was cold and overcast. Unfortunately, the sun never broke through, but it didn't dampen the spirit of the day at all. At the start, we had Eduardo and Mercedes, Kent Grigg, Jerry and Lucia and an unexpected show up of Justin and Emily, plus my friend John.

Kent had an impeller and time crunch issue so he headed back midway on our way to Walnut Grove where we stopped for lunch and then returned back to Discovery around 4:30. 71.1 miles!

With regard to my Etec- It is smooth, quiet, fast and made it feel like a whole new boat. First time ever I was able to have a conversation with the person next to me going 30MPH. The stock propeller is under propped, so I will be exchanging that, but otherwise, it was a better shakedown than I could have expected.

Upon returning to Discovery Park, I asked Eduardo if he wanted to take the Aristocraft out for a quick spin. We went out quickly as dusk was upon us and his ear to ear smile reaffirmed what I had been feeling all day!

Next up- find the hardtop for my boat and fix the winch height on the trailer.

Thank you again to the entire club for your support and specifically to those who showed up yesterday.

Congratulations David, sure looks like you guys had a great time. Very happy to hear that you are so happy with your etec and interested in finding a top. That will really make for a wonderful boat. Nice to see Emily and Justin were able to join you. Hopefully more will be able to make the next outing.

Yes, it was a great day. It was so last minute, I didn't expect many people would be available.
